The Bahamas Dragon Boat Festival 2023

Riding on the excitement and momentum of our

Inaugural Bahamas Dragon Boat Festival in August 2022,

the 2nd Annual Dragon Boat Festival will be held on the weekend of September 30 - October 1, 2023

at Goodman's Bay  Beach, Nassau, Bahamas.

Rules & Regulations

At all times, personal safety and care of equipment are of uttermost importance               
On The Water                         
1     All Racers must wear a top and a personal flotation device  (life jacket) 

2   All Racers must be swimmers 14 years and older          
3    No Alcohol is to be consumed before and during practice          
4    No loud and abusive language               
5    Care for equipment          
6    Adopt a Buddy System          
7    If boat turns over, hold onto boat until help arrives         


Out of water               
1     Boats to be launched with minimum of eight persons                    
2    Boats must be lifted using designated lifting handles                    
3    Boats must not be dropped                    
4    Boat must not be placed on any hard surface e.g. stones/rocks/coral    
5    All life jackets must be rinsed and washed after use then hang out to dry                 
6    Paddles must not be dragged on the ground or come into contact with hard           

       surfaces
